School Procedure

ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

Arrival Times:

  • Children should not arrive prior to 8 am UNLESS they are eating breakfast or attending an extra-curricular meeting.

  • Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 am daily.  Students will be served lunch in the cafeteria daily.

  • Prek AM arrival time is between 8-8:10 am

  • Prek PM arrival time is between 12:35-12:40 pm

Arrival Areas:

  • PreK students will enter through the PreK doors.

  • K-2 students should enter through main entry doors

  • 3-5 students should enter through Community Center doors

  • 6-8 students should enter through "5 doors" or "2 doors"

Bike Riders:

  • Must walk bikes on front sidewalks and on school campus at all times.

  • Bicycle students must place bicycles at racks located near “Five Door” area.

  • It is strongly recommended that a lock be used at all times.

  • Children should not arrive prior to 8 am UNLESS they are eating breakfast.

Walkers:

  • All walkers must use crosswalks.

  • All walkers must abide by the directives of the Crossing Guard.

  • Children should not arrive prior to 8 am UNLESS they are eating breakfast.

Drivers:

  • Must stay in the vehicle at all times.

  • Drivers must pull as far forward as space permits. 

  • Drop-off area will be at the front of the school (95th St.-Signal Hill Place) a  NO PARKING ZONE will be enforced in this area.  Students MUST exit on the building side of the street.

  • Drop-off area will be along the west side of the Community Center to the Five-Door Entrance. (Parking Lot area) Drivers cannot park, they must pull as far forward as space allows.

  • All drivers exiting from the school parking lot must turn RIGHT.

  • DRIVERS MUST STOP AT THE FOUR WAY STOP AND FOLLOW CROSSING GUARD DIRECTIVES.

  • It is illegal in the state of Illinois to be on your cell phone in school zone areas.

  • St. Clair County Sheriff/Belleville Police will assist with additional patrols and drivers noted not following rules will be reported to authorities. 

  • Children should not be dropped off prior to 8 am UNLESS they are eating breakfast.

Church Parking Lot/Drive

  • The church driveway and parking lot are NOT TO BE used as a drop-off/pickup point.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Dismissal Times:

  • All AM PreK students will be dismissed at 10:40 am.  All PM PreK students will be dismissed at 3:10 pm.

  • All K-8th grades will be dismissed at 3:15.

Dismissal Areas:

  • A designated pickup for preschool-2nd grade MUST walk to the front dismissal area to pick up their child.  A driver's license or photo ID may be required.

  • 3rd-8th grade students will walk home (with parent permission) or be picked up by car in the car pick up line.

Bike Riders:

  • Bicycle students are considered walkers at the end of the day.

Walkers:

  • All walkers must use crosswalks.

  • All walkers must abide by the directives of the Crossing Guard.

  • No student under the age of 3rd grade is allowed to walk alone. Older siblings are allowed to pick up younger siblings if teacher is notified of this arrangement. 

  • Walkers must leave campus immediately.  Students are not allowed to congregate per social distancing guidelines.

Drivers:

  • Must stay in the vehicle at all times.

  • Drivers must pull as far forward as space permits. 

  • A NO PARKING ZONE will be enforced in front of the school during dismissal.

  • Pick-up for students in 3rd-8th will be along the west side of the Community Center to the Five-Door Entrance. (Parking Lot area) Students will be released for pickup at approximately 3:20 pm.

  • Drivers cannot park, they must pull as far forward as space allows.
